Richard Fisher is a Senior Fellow on Asian Military Affairs at the International Assessment and Strategy Center. He is a recognized authority on China’s military and the military balance of power in Northeast Asia from the perspective of U.S. National Security.
Mr. Fisher is a Contributing Editor at Geostrategy-Direct.com. His most recent book is China’s Military Modernization: Building for Regional and Global Reach (Praeger Security International).
He has worked as Asian Studies Director at the Heritage Foundation and as a consultant for the Congressionally-chartered U.S. China Security & Economic Review Commission.
Mr. Fisher has been Editor of the Jamestown Foundation’s China Brief, and a regular contributor to publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Far Eastern Economic Review, Jane’s Intelligence Review, National Interest, Air Forces Monthly, and World Airpower Journal.
