House bill prohibits feds from contracting with leftist NewsGuard, which targeted WorldTribune.com

by WorldTribune Staff, December 25, 2024 Real World News

Included in the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2025 that was passed by the House is a prohibition on contracts with firms like NewsGuard Technologies, a leftist organization which targets conservative media outlets, including WorldTribune.com.

NewsGuard "has been accused of systematically targeting certain outlets while shielding some publishers from scrutiny," LifeSite News noted in a Dec. 23 report.

"Its self-proclaimed mission to 'promote truth' often directs readers to government-endorsed sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a practice that raises questions about impartiality – especially since it has received funding from government sources."

In his June 18, 2023 Corporate Watch report for WorldTribune.com, Joe Schaeffer noted that NewsGuard was particularly triggered by WorldTribune.com‘s coverage of the released videos of J6, right to bear arms without a government permit, a UN report on decriminalizing pedophilia, and reports on the massive health and economic impact of the Covid vaccines.

UncoverDC.com noted that NewsGuard "has partnered with Microsoft, Pfizer, the Department of Defense with a 2021 $749,387 one-year contract, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the WHO using NewsGuard’s trademark 'new Misinformation Fingerprints' analyst and AI cataloging tool."

The globalists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) also touted NewsGuard’s crusade to fight “misinformation.”
