With the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks which killed 2,976 people came new questions into Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the attacks.
Newly unclassified FBI/CIA records reveal that two Saudi government employees “may have served as an advance team” for the 9/11 hijackers, investigative journalist Catherine Herridge reported on Sept. 14.
“There is compelling evidence the U.S.-based support network secured housing, bank accounts, driver’s licenses and even helped identify flight schools for the hijackers,” Herridge reported.

Why did it take 25 years for this evidence to surface?
Robert Mueller had a key role in that.
Mueller was FBI director at the time of the 9/11 attacks. The U.S. government’s investigation into possible Saudi involvement was shut down by Mueller within weeks of it opening.
In a Sept. 7, 2019 report for the New York Post, investigative journalist Paul Sperry noted that Mueller had set up “roadblocks in the path of his own investigators working the 9/11 case, while making it easier for Saudi suspects to escape questioning, multiple case agents told me. Then he deep-sixed what evidence his agents did manage to uncover, according to the 9/11 lawsuit against the Saudis.”
Sharon Premoli, who was pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center 25 years ago, noted:
“In October of 2001, Mueller shut down the government’s investigation after only three weeks, and then took part in the Bush [administration’s] campaign to block, obfuscate and generally stop anything about Saudi Arabia from being released.”
Sperry pointed to the hypocrisy of Mueller going after President Donald Trump for conspiring with a foreign enemy.
“Bottom line is, Mueller did not do an investigation on people involved in the 9/11 attacks who were connected to the Saudi government,” a former U.S. counterintelligence official asserted. “Maybe if they were Russians, he would be interested. But he was not interested in investigating [Saudi] terrorists who murdered Americans.”
Meanwhile, Bill Maher highlighted how media 25 years after 9/11 are increasingly pushing to change the narrative by not using the word “terrorists” when referring to the attackers:
