The Hamas terror group launched more than 150 rockets at Israel on Monday. Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted almost all of them.
Israel responded with airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “The terrorist organizations in Gaza have crossed a red line and attacked us with missiles in the outskirts of Jerusalem. Whoever attacks us will pay a heavy price.”
By late Monday, the Israeli military had carried out dozens of airstrikes across Gaza, targeting Hamas military installations and operatives. Hamas tunnel, rocket launchers and eight militants had been hit.
